WHO ARE THE QUEENSLAND FAMILY COHORT FAMILIES?

The Queensland Family Cohort is ever growing. The families from our pilot study:

• were born in 65 different countries

• included different cultural groups including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

• ranged in age from 16 to 44 years old

• included same sex couples

• included single parent families

• included surrogate families

We are continuing to recruit families birthing at the Mater Mother's Hospital who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community members throughout 2023.

 

 

 

 

The Queensland Family Cohort wants to include families from throughout Queensland. Due to the restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have only recruited in Brisbane.

In 2023, we are excited to expand our study Queensland-wide using only online surveys to collect information about how families are faring Queensland wide.
